Boys.

When I was a laurel in the Young Women program for our church we made these packets and in them we put things like where we wanted to get married (Manti LDS Temple, check), how many children we wanted to have (8, working on it), etc. Well let's get back to the "How many children I wanted" part of this. I will tell you, in that packet I put 6 boys and 2 girls. I think since I grew up with three younger brothers I was accustomed to "raising" boys. I thought they were the way to go. I still think boys are AWESOME so here are some pictures of boys.

Luke and Brody played some chess back during Easter weekend.Beau rocked a faux-hawk and a lava lava for game day this week.
Malachi was HORRIBLY fighting sleep the other day at Larkie's house. I asked Larkie if she had a bottle I could give him and try that. Well we put him in Atticus' crib. He got angry, threw the bottle and sat up and cried. He was thrashing about and I guess his hand hit the bottle. He picked up the bottle and started drinking it sitting up. He had to lean his head WAY back to drink it and because he was so tired he started falling forward doing the sleeping "head bob." Larkie and I, all the while, are watching him through a crack in the door. Finally he did one BIG "bob" and fell straight forward and went to sleep. This was all in the span of about 3 minutes. I had to sneak in and take a picture (and steal that bottle).
My silly boy.
This morning Nate stopped by to pick up a shirt. It was SO GREAT to see him!
Remember if you live in UT and need insurance of any kind HE is your guy!

Boys are so much fun.
Don't worry I love my girls too.
I just thought I'd give a shout out to the boys.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
