Beau goes to prom

First, Bonnie went home to get ready.
We had dinner with the Shillig 5s and Josh here at the house.
We then headed over to see the "princess" as the girls called her, Beau's date.
We got there and took some photos of the princess and prince.
Look at those nice white smiles!
Mali Su kept walking up and touching her dress.
Aimi Lark was a little bit more shy so we weren't really able to get her close enough for a picture.
Bonnie went inside to get her purse so we took that as an opportunity for a picture with Jake (who saved the day date) and handsome (tired) Malachi.
But when Beau and Bonnie left Aimi Lark was hysterical because she wanted to ride in the Princess' car.
We came home and played settlers with the awaiting Shillig 5s. Aimi Lark and Malachi are FINALLY asleep after a VERY long non-napping day. Mali Su is like her mommy and playing the role of night owl.
I am so excited to hear how Beau's night at prom goes.
It is at the Provo Library...fancier than I expected (I thought it was at the HS gym).

How fun for you to have these "mommy" experiences with your brother. He and his date looked cute.
I love Settlers. We haven't played it in a while.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
