Picture this:

I walk into Zumba this morning...
into a room full of Latins speaking Spanish.
(makes sense, it is a Latin based dance class but I was the only white girl/non-Latin in the room at the moment)
I begin to stretch (I just came from Spin class) and text Jake.
In walks our instructor, a cute Asian girl.
As the music starts up and the speaking in Spanish behind me continues.
I cannot help but laugh to myself.
Latin music playing, Asian teacher (overly excitedly) teaching, and Latins behind me dancing/speaking Spanish.
There I danced (not so gracefully) with the few other white girls.
It was a FUN(ny) morning in Zumba class.
The workout was amazing though!

Just for some more FUN(ny) stuff in this post here are some pictures I took of us trying to get the kids into bed last night...
(thanks Kayla for letting me borrow your camera...did I mention my video camera stopped working this week too?)

Malachi goes down quite easily in his crib these days. But sometimes the girls find it necessary to give him things like, umm I don't know...sippy cups, small pianos, you know, things he will need while sleeping. I don't think he liked it very much.I took out the unwanted items, comforted him, and he went right to sleep.

Aimi Lark INSISTED upon playing this drum.
I guess the soft rhythmic beating of a drum lulls her to sleep.Mali Su is really just a funny girl. No explanation needed.

  1. Oh I'm glad you enjoy Zumba! I LOVE going whenever I have the time, only lately I have taken to just hitting the gym as its more affordable. I tend to be the loner in the middle of a ton of dancing women who all know each other... haha.. come join me any time!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
