so I might as well blog.
The first night Jake was gone I slept wonderfully. A nice DEEP sleep without interruption. Last night I was not so lucky. Aimi Lark attempted to pull an all nighter so I was up til she went to sleep around 11:30PM. I sat and read way too many camera reviews while she watched Tarzan and followed by Pocahontas. Then my sweet son decided 4AM was when his all-you-can-eat breakfast was to start (I disagreed but fed him anyway). I put him back to bed (awake) and tried to fall asleep myself (yeah right). Aimi Lark decided being up before 6AM was the way to go, you know the old saying "late to bed, early to rise (while Daddy is gone) makes for one delirious Mama?" Yeah, I don't know that one either, it's just kinda how I feel at the moment. But here are some pictures I took yesterday with Kayla's camera. She has kindly let me borrow it when needed (and for me that is pretty much continually throughout the day). I am picture taking obsessed. It took my camera BREAKING for me to realize I have a "problem." But honestly I LOVE my "problem." I just need to find a camera that I want to buy. I only have a few weeks. Kayla leaves soon for TX. She is getting married May 1!
OK (enough rambling) here are the pictures I took yesterday:
My mom brings/sends the girls all kinds of fun shoes. Glitter/sparkly/high heeled she covers them all! The girls were running around in these "slippers" (like Cinderella) all morning.
I have been putting Malachi down in his bed awake these days. He fusses for a few minutes and then is out. I am loving it. I do find it funny that he falls asleep on his tummy when I put him down awake and he can decide how he sleeps.
Marlyse passed out the cutest little goodie bags at her St. Patrick's Day party and in it was POP ROCKS. Yesterday I let the girls try them. Mali Su LOVED them.
She loved them so much that when she had to share with Aimi Lark and then Aimi Lark gave them back to her she gave Aimi Lark this look:
Uncle Beau is into cooking/baking these days. His specialty at the moment is no-bake cookies. Aimi Lark likes to help him taste test them.
Well on with my day...

My sleep schedule was similar to yours! The first night, it was fine. Last night, I couldn't sleep. I made the mistake of bringing Allie in with me since I was awake and then she didn't sleep well either, which perpetuated the problem. She was just too cute to put back though, . . . . we'll be taking a nap later :)
ReplyDeleteI have some errands to run today up in Provo/Orem, give me a call if you want to do lunch! (I'll email you my number)
Pop rocks are so funny the first time. I bet the girls were very intrigued! Hope you get to catch up on the sleep!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how big they're all getting. Little Malachi is just precious. Can't wait for our little boys to meet.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the fun posts!
