drop Jake off for his massage appointment

pick Kayla up from the bus stop
5:15PM-
ask Kayla to keep an eye on non-sleeping kids so I can get ready for the
SURPRISE PARTY
5:30PM-
realize that I do not have time for a shower after all and instead just undo my braids from the day, flat iron my hair, and raid Kayla's closet for something new to wear
6:00PM-
leave to pick up Jake from appointment
6:31PM-
Jake emerges from appointment and I inform him "Larkie has a present for him at her house she wants us to come by and get, she will be home after 7pm"
6:38PM-
We pick up Beau from our house and let the girls potty
6:45PM-
head out to the
SURPRISE PARTY
6:51PM-
Larkie texts me and tells me to STALL so we stop at Walgreen's for teething tablets for a pitiful teething/crying Malachi
6:54PM-
on the road again and Kayla texts and tells me to STALL (again)
6:56PM-
I tell Jake I want a coke and there is a McDonald's is on the corner has $1 any size cokes! (really I didn't want a coke, I'm just thinking the drive thru will buy us some time)
7:05PM-
Kayla tells us we are in the clear
7:11PM-
arrive at party and Jake is completely SURPRISED! and happy because he thought it was strange Larkie was having HIM come to HER house to pick up HIS birthday present
7:15PM-
eating of pizza starts
8:15PM- cake
(Jordan picked out a "littlest pet shop" cake for Uncle Jake and all the girls insisted upon blowing out the candles) and
presents
(NERF guns from the Saragers
that Jake told Aimi Lark were to get the bad guy on Tarzan and CANDY and the movie SPEED RACER from the Keetons)
10:30PM- we wrapped up the party (only because the kids got tired)
after HOURS of wonderful conversation, reminiscing about childhood days, and talking about current things (such as raising children)
11:07PM-we are home and all my house is in bed but me...
Jake told me it was the
"best birthday ever"
and I am so glad...Goodnight!
