3rd Birthday

just shy of a week early.
Aimi Lark turns 3 years old on December 26 but because we have so much family in town we decided to celebrate early. Tonight we had her a "book" party because she loves books and her library could use a little help. Before the party even started Aimi Lark and Mali Su got in a fight over the "Happy Cake" that Marlyse made for Aimi Lark and dumped it on the floor. When it came time to blow out the candles we did so with three candles stuck in a big heap of cake mess. ALL 4 little girls (Aimi Lark, Mali Su, Jordan, and Hadley) wanted a turn blowing out the candles so we sang "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" one complete time (with Aimi Lark singing loudly along) and then three mini-times for the other girls to have turns. Aimi Lark loved opening her presents and loved being read to. Malachi enjoyed the taste of a blow-pop for about 30 seconds before I sadly took it away.
Grandpa tried again to teach him to crawl but Malachi was not up for the task. Maybe next time.THANK YOU EVERYONE for a great night!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
