Aimi Lark's ACTUAL 3rd Birthday

We went sledding in the morning with the Jarrells while Jake went snowmobiling with the driving age Jarrells. Turns out Jake's family was sledding on the other side of rock canyon park at the same time we were and neither of us had any idea! I guess that is what we get for not inviting each other to go! The little girls first played on the playground. A boy walked by who was about 12 years old. Aimi Lark excitedly said "HI! Na...um, uh, um" and then proclaimed, "That's no-one!" It was hilarious to watch her try and figure out who the boy was but when she realized she was not an uncle or cousin she said "That's no-one" and made me laugh because I've never heard her even say the word "no-one."Aimi Lark LOVED sledding! She had an absolute blast. Every time I would say, "Aimi Lark do you want ____?" or a similar question she would say, "I'm fine Mom, I'm fine." She said that while putting up her hand as if to say "stop." She and Mali Su have been calling me "Caroline" for about 2 weeks now so sometimes she said, "Caroline, I'm fine." Silly girls. She insisted on carrying the sled back up the hill and when Brody came back she wanted badly to sled with him on the REAL hills/jumps. Mali Su preferred the playground to sledding and Malachi preferred being held and then napping. After sledding we went back to the house to meet up with the snowmobilers. They came back exhausted and sore. We picked up In-N-Out to share with our Texan cousins. We then did presents and candles. It was a great day! I love my 3 year old.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
