Marlyse has a great tradition of making gingerbread houses/celebrating her birthday.
This year there was a great turn-out
and we celebrated three birthdays on Dec. 19, Marlyse, Jake's Dad Bill, and Kenny's mission buddy Chip. Jake won "most-improved" with his gingerbread house because two years ago he ended up giving up on the icing and making his house out of a cardboard box and some Elmer's glue. This year he made a Malibu mansion with the girls putting on the Swedish fish roof.
Brody's house was equipped with a balcony
and today he kindly gave it to one of the ladies he and Jake home teach from church.
Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.
I love my gingerbread house. I am displaying it proudly!
