Christmas with Pa Pa Tim and Tyler

Since my dad and brother were leaving before Christmas they had a mini-Christmas with us after Aimi Lark's early birthday party. We like to have as many celebrations as possible around here! My dad got Jake and I a blu-ray player even though we only asked for a DVD player. I do not even know what a blu-ray does and had to look up how to spell it...blue or blu!?Uncle Brody was given a $25 gift card to Wal-Mart and is dying to buy a headset for the XBOX.
The girls LOVED opening more presents. They LOVE un-wrapping gifts!
Pa Pa got Aimi Lark a Little Mermaid sing-along boom-box and we were so surprised at how many words she was able to sing to so many songs!
Malachi was asleep so Pa Pa let her open his present. She really wanted the boom-box so we did our best to distract her.
Mali Su then remembered her Lego wagon and went back to playing with her actual present.
Malachi woke up after all the festivities to try out his present (he said it tasted good).
Thank you Pa Pa Tim and Uncle Tyler for an AWESOME pre-Christmas!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
