Malachi woke up early for breakfast and the girls followed shortly after. We ended up with all three kids in bed with us
so that we didn't disturb anyone else that was sleeping. Once everyone began to stir Christmas traditions were underway! The girls came into the kitchen/living room to find that Santa had brought a cozy coupe police car for them!
We took turns from youngest to oldest opening gifts.
Brody received some awesome XBOX 360 gear
and the boys all enjoyed playing with it later in the day.
Jake got me a 1TB completely portable external hard drive so that I can store the 20,000+ pictures I have on our 5 year old computer (before it crashes). I was so surprised by this gift!
I got him gift certificates for a spa. He asked for a massage as his commissioning gift and since I'm no massage therapist I was happy to get him this gift.
Malachi was a bit unsure of it all but had fun grabbing things within arms reach of him and trying to eat them.
Aimi Lark loved this $1 princess wand that I picked up. She kept pointing it at me and saying "ZAM."
We have some AWESOME friends. The Wood family sent us a package that arrived on the afternoon of Christmas Eve so we put it under the tree for Christmas morning. Jake opened it and was so excited to teach the girls to use their "training" chopsticks.
He was even more surprised to find that they had sent us a genuine wax SEAL with OUR last name on it! IMPRESSIVE to say the least! The package was full of so many goodies and I cannot wait to put the bows on the girls. THANK YOU WOOD FAMILY! Y'all are the best!
After all was finished and we had cleaned up Jake and I realized that all the kids had opened their stockings but we had not. We went and got our stockings and found inside SOCKS for me and a See's Candy gift certificate for Jake. Jake's Grandma Neville knitted these amazing stockings. They are a treasure to our family.
The rest of the morning was spent playing with toys (and cleaning up). This Christmas was busy but absolutely wonderful! I love big families and all the joy that they bring. Thank you Jarrell family for spending Christmas with us!

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.
fun fun fun!! They are all so cute! And I am glad you guys had such a great time! Yay for a Christmas success!! Happy holidays!
