WHY!?

Why do creepy people have to ruin things? At the risk of sounding racist... Why do mexican men have no regard for staring?

So tonight I decided to go to the gym at our clubhouse to walk/run on the treadmill for a bit. Jake watched the girls and I headed over, innocent enough right? So I get there and about 20 mins into my workout I see a little boy walk by and stop and look in and then I see a man (his dad I assume) walk by and also look in. I thought a bit odd but I thought maybe he is just checking out the gym...well I'm thinking that the gym isn't what he was checking out because he continued to casually walk by and peek in OVER AND OVER AND OVER and STARE directly at ME each time! So finally I was creeped out and a bit scared that I left and came home. I mean SERIOUSLY ... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!? Nothing is safe anymore... Not even our clubhouse gym. I of course told Jake so from now on he is going to accompany me because I plan to go use the treadmill DAILY in hopes of getting myself healthier.

  5. Caroline, if you don't want to be hassled by beer bellied mexicans when you're working out you have to go to an area where you are required to pay money to work out. If there is one thing I am good at it's thinking like a beer bellied mexican, and I sure as heck wouldn't want to spend money to go and work out somewhere.-Luke

  7. I totally know what you mean. Vidor Wal-Mart is one of the worst. No, I take that back, Vidor Wal-Mart AND grocery stores. I'm sure you and I have had several episodes of creepiness in high school. Good thing we have body guards now.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
