I am Caroline

I have realized a few things about myself lately and wanted to document them(while jake talks on the phone to luke who is in taiwan)

~I am loving my little porch garden. I split up the sprouts in hopes of them surviving and for some reason the fact that these plants are growing makes me so proud!

~My husband and I went for a run today and it was really enjoyable. I have not run in YEARS (yes I said YEARS) and today we took turns running across the soccer field while one watched aimi lark play at the park. It was such a great family time.

~I love my little girls so much! They are growing so fast and I cannot get over how much they are learning and changing everyday. I never knew how rewarding being a mother and a wife would be but it is more than I ever dreamed!

~I love these blue eyes... At the reunion I realized they come from Jake's grandpa Shillig...

  1. That was fun to read, thanks for posting. Also, I liked the last three pics of your "blue eyes."

  2. Nice plants, and good job on the run.
Your girls have the blue-est blue eyes, so pretty!
I'm glad you like your job so much, and I agree, being a wife and a mama is very rewarding. If only we could be mom's together, like you could move in next door! Yesss!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
