Nostalgic evening

Tonight we were invited to the park by some friends and while there the kids played on the playground (Aimi Lark would try to walk/run down the slides vs sit down and go down them...yes she fell) and then they played croquet. Jake had so much fun! He said it reminded him of when he was a kid and his dad would play croquet with them on Sundays. The kids had fun picking up the balls and moving them. JAKE WON! We got home and Aimi Lark was all tuckered out. Such a wonderful evening of family fun.

  1. Sounds like a fun time! Y'all are ALWAYS doing fun stuff! It just goes to show that Utah is much more fun than Florida!

  2. What a fun night! I've played croquet a couple of times and I sucked. It seemed like I was hitting the ball hard, but then it would only go about a foot.

  3. I love crochet! I want to get a set someday and we'll go play in the park. Glad you had fun! I can't post my pics because my scanner only does tif files because it is special...

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
