6AM

may not be early to workout for some people but for me it is. I have been walking/exercising/socializing with Marlyse and Jackie for months but we did it between 10-11am each day. My ward started a "get moving" group and they walk/run at 6am on Tuesday and Thursday mornings and I am so excited to start because my other walking partners flaked out on me (moved away...same thing right?) Having two babies in two years can do a number on your body and your figure so I am trying to regain things a bit. It was a really fun morning but by my girls' faces you can tell they think that getting woke up so momma can walk is too much!

  1. I wish I could do that here...it is so hot here all the time, that my girls would die!! Good luck!

  2. ^Am is TOO early. I'm not a morning person at all!

Wish I had the motivation to get up and go walking. I at least try to walk everyday here at my apartment. We have a nice little trail here.

  4. I am fairly certain that I can guarantee I will not be inviting myself to your 6am walking sessions when I get back. Hadley just would not allow it. :) However, I'm very glad you have found some new ladies to walk with! That's awesome!

  5. That sounds fun! I wish I had a walking buddy (or buddies). Once I took Ethan for a walk at the community center. It was so freakin humid. Ugh. I'm willing to go again...but not at 6am. Maybe around...10...ish.

  6. Benjamin is always up by 6, but Peter usually isn't. That's what's mostly holding me back from going (and the fact that even if I am up - although usually I try to have Tim do everything in the morning while I sleep some more - I'm not very with it).

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
