Today was Aimi Lark's first full day of nursery! She was excited to get to church. Once she was dressed this morning and had her (new pink nike sandles we got her yesterday) shoes on she kept going to the door and knocking and trying to open it to leave. When we got to church she was wanting to roam from one end to the other. She did such a good job for all two hours of nursery. Jake stayed with her to help with the transition.
After church we came home and Aimi Lark had a nap, Mali Su had lunch and Jake began to season and grill up our lunch. He realized this weekend that we had a George Foreman grill and he could grill tri-tip! so today he did! It is DELICIOUS! Good JOB Jacob!
(My economics teacher in college told me that she needed 3 Gs... GUNS, GRUB, and GROUND and now that Jacob has his "arsenal," can grill meat, and owns our home he has completed these three Gs )
Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.
Man, I haven't seen a whole steak in ages. I've been craving flank steak though...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, about the graham crackers. Since you grind your own wheat (I gotta get me a grinder, by the way, I would grind all kinds of grain into flour...) you should know that the only thing that makes graham flour different is that its a little coarser grind than bread flour, but it is still whole wheat (yay whole grains!) so you can probably just tweak the settings on your grinder (not sure how they work...) or not grind it as long and get a reasonable match for graham. For the recipe I added a little cinnamon and nutmeg as well, and next time I might reduce the sugar by a tablespoon, and you could probably use brown sugar too.
Plus, the really fun thing about making your own graham crackers is that you can use a cookie cutter to make them into whatever fun shapes you want, and when you prick them with a fork you can put letters or pictures on them as well.
Happy baking!
Ya for nursery!
ReplyDeleteGood job Jake for grilling up good food!
