Mali Su may never be safe again...

because Aimi Lark has learned to crawl up on the couch with her! This is a skill she has been working on for some time now but it is finally PERFECTED! and she is FAST!

She also has mastered being able to climb into the rocking chair that belonged to Jake's grandma Neville. It is a very unstable chair (because it rocks all the way forward easily) and two nights ago she spent the evening in hissy fits due to the fact that she could not get in it because it would rock forward or she would fall out. She also tried climbing in the sides and would get her head stuck. After about thirty minutes of her getting upset I put her cranky self to bed. The next day she was able to climb up there with very little trouble! (except when she fell off the rocking chair and hit her head on the tile in front of the fireplace...but no marks so I think she is ok)

  4. It is amazing how quickly kids pick up on things.

  5. I feel like there is no way to childproof a house that has a toddler that can climb. It does get easier as they get older and you can help them understand more what they can (the couch) and cannot (the table) climb on.

  6. Your girls are so precious! How exciting to have two that are so close in age. I bet Aimi Lark just adores her little sister and vice versa.
You have such a cute blog! I need to figure out how to do all the fun layouts! :-)

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
