I love my girls!

Today has been one of those days for me where I have no idea what I did today but it is now almost 5pm and I am exhausted! BUT the good thing is that I have some funny pictures to prove that today I was a MOM and that is all that is important right?

Mali Su napping on a pallet beside our bed (she got sick again last night but is better today)

Aimi Lark played in front of the mirror forever today after I put her towel on her head like a cape... in her hand are a purse, hair clip, and toothbrush... she is good to go in the dress-up department!

Today when I put Mali Su on the floor Aimi Lark went and laid down by her. Mali Su soon discovered Aimi Lark was there and would roll to her side and pull Aimi Lark's hair. Aimi Lark would sit up look at me and smile/laugh and then lay down for more... this was the first time I feel like I truly saw them play TOGETHER!
After their hair pulling fun Aimi Lark tried to give Mali Su a pacifier over and over and over again.
Aimi Lark then took her cabbage patch doll's hairbrush and brushed Mali Su's hair.
I love these girls so much! Their personalities are really beginning to emerge and seeing them interact together brings me so much joy.

  1. That is the SWEETEST thing! They are SO cute together! I'm sure they will grow up to be best friends. I especially love the pic of Aimi Lark admiring herself in the mirror. Great photography!

  5. I think these days are when you can see what you've really accomplished as a mom... you're doing great. I miss all my nieces so much already. I wish I could be closer by. I love the hairbrush pic.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
