Fun Times...

New Cell Phones and the Karate Kid movie were things we picked up yesterday. The movie was at Target and while at Target Jake kept putting things in the buggy and when I would tell him we didn't need this or that he would say "but it is only $5" or "it is only $3" well needless to say all his "it's only" purchases cost us a pretty penny! I do have to admit they were needed things(except maybe the $5 Karate Kid movie) that I always put off buying(face wash, mousse, envelopes etc.) because I am CHEAPO and always say we can get by just fine without those things...
I had never seen Karate Kid until last night and it was a good 80s movie. Jake even got in full gear for the movie.... cell phone, crane stance, and headband :)

  1. Nice moves! I don't know if I've ever watched the whole thing, but I don't remember loving it, maybe it's a guy thing. Don't you love getting a new phone and figuring out all cool stuff you can do?

  4. Haha! Funny picture. I'll be sure to have Tim take a look at it when he gets home - he'll appreciate it.

  5. I love getting a new phone. It is just one of those little pick me ups in a pretty monotonous college life.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
