The difference between FLDS and LDS

The LDS church produced some videos and articles to help differentiate between the FLDS polygamist groups in TX and LDS church members. They filmed it for the most part in my town. This is my cousin Kayla and her family.

    that is really cool. I just saw a news blurp that the church was trying to differentiate between between the two church's. That is cool that your cousin gets to help in that!!

    I've been trying to watch the video, but it keeps getting stuck. Anyway, the first minute was really good. I feel like she's a celebrity and I should be like "I know her!" or "Yeah, I'm her personal hair stylist.".

    Good job, we definitely need to make sure people know the difference... though sometimes I'm not so sure people in our own church really know the difference...

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
