Day 14- Grateful for an AMAZING Birthday

Yesterday was FULL of surprises for my 28th birthday.  After Jake spilled the beans the night before I was excited for the next day, but even more excited that I had no expectations.  I'm known to build things up in my head and *maybe* get disappointed when things don't go as I planned in my head.  Poor Jake, he handles it all so well.  I thought Jake had school and work so the idea of him HOME and then me getting to go to class with him means everything was a SURPRISE!  The pictures are from 2 phones and 2 cameras so they are all our of order.  I will just give you a run down of my day and let you enjoy the pictures and maybe try to fix them.

7AM I got to shower with no time frame and no rushing then hang out talking to my Dad and Sheila til Jake returns

8AM Jake takes the kids to Target to get himself an XBOX game and donuts for the kids
930AM my best friend here in Florida, Katie, walks in surprising me with a pretty flower
935AM  Jake sends us on our way, just me and Katie
945AM we stop and buy chapstick and gum
10AM we arrive at the location, A SPA! but we're early so we walk around this little Old Town

1030AM we spend the next almost 3 hours having a massage, facial, hand and foot treatments!  while we're gone Jake sets up CHRISTMAS!  (family tradition since 2006)

130PM home for presents and cupcakes and flowers arrive from my Mom

2PM I go to my favorite Queso place with my Dad and Sheila for a little lunch/early dinner

3PM get home and Jake gives me the best present in the entire world, a Mother's Ring he has been designing and having made with their family Jeweler in CA

(I found out later they tried delivering it to the wrong address and then had the wrong phone number for Jake.  Jake tracked down the truck and went and got the ring)

It came with the SWEETEST letter, I'll share soon.

330PM get dressed (in jeans I haven't fit into in 6 months) and put on makeup to head to class with Jake

6PM Constitutional Law
730PM  Torts (law)
9PM we walk around downtown Orlando and take in the night life, finally checked that off my "while I live in FL" bucket list, it was more of a bar scene than I expected but we enjoyed some $2 tacos

My shoe broke so Jake left them by a garbage can on the way to the car.
11PM home and exhausted!

AMAZING DAY,
FULL of surprises of every kind.
Jake you ROCK!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
