I do not want to pay our landlord fee of "you pay the first $75 on repairs" fee so I'm googling how to fix our toilet. I just finished putting Drano (or whatever brand it was) down the SLOW draining tub drain.  I love the Internet.

We took a nice walk in this nice weather to the local DG (Dollar General for you non-country livin' folk).  My arms are sore from pushing the stroller with three kids in it up the dirt road hill, but the burn feels so good.  The kids LOVED the trip.  I let them each pick a toy for under $5 and I loved seeing them look at the numbers (price tag) on the toys and say "Yes or No" to it.  Mali Su of course took the longest and bought something that was $5 unlike her siblings who chose $1 items.  She can never finish her art on time or pick first.
Aimi Lark is in a monochromatic phase with her wardrobe. I am letting her embrace her version of "matching."

Ok it looks like it's a lost cause on the tub and toilet.  I would have happily just called a plumber if it was my own place but being "forced" to pay this $75 makes me not want to.  Stubborn I know.  I don't make my tenants pay this type of fee.  I just feel like we're being "nickel and dimed" by our management company.

The boys (Malachi) constantly ask me to take pictures of them together.  This one is titled, "dirty silly faces required, clothing optional."
Solomon's blond curls are so angelic.
I made Nutella Hot Chocolate for after trick or treating and SOMEONE, I'm not naming names, was found eating what was left in the jar.  The jar may or may not have been taken from the trash to commit this act.
The ONLY candy I look forward to eating (stealing) from my kids on Halloween is the Kit Kat bars.  Since when did they go from 2 sticks to 1?  They're kidding right?  It seemed like a cruel trick to me.  Sure they're a little bit thicker, but not much.  Ok maybe I like the Nerd candy too, but honestly sweets aren't my thing.
Malachi came to me the other day and told me he looked like he was wearing a diaper.  He had on TONS of underwear.  It was all good til he went to the bathroom and couldn't pull them back up.  He has only been seen wearing one pair at a time since then.
My arms are still burning from pushing the kids up the hill in the stroller.  I think I found a new workout for me and burn the kids out so they will fall asleep from pure exhaustion activity for the kids.
I love the FALL weather, it's my favorite.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
