Gratitude Day 19- Jake's Grandma Audrey

Today is Jake's Grandma Audrey's birthday.  She is his Dad's Mother.  Until today I had only ever seen one picture of her.  I have heard very little about her, but I feel blessed to by her.  I am so truly grateful for the family I married into.  I love them.  I know they are not perfect, no family is, but I love all that I've learned from them.  Jake tells my girls about their wonderful Great Grandmothers (Audrey, Neville & my Grandma Sellers) who have passed on and who watch over them.  Jake's Aunt Stacey (my father in law's sister) sent me these photos and captions.   I am grateful for family history and the joy it brings to my heart when I learn about those that came before me.  It brings a smile to my face, and tonight tears to my eyes.

With her favorite necklace that her Aunt Eck gave her. She was about 14.

Soon after she was married in 1950. She made the blue dress and that is the dress she was married in.

 Happy Birthday Grandma Audrey
The last one was at her parents 50th wedding anniversary in Mesa Arizona. She is in the long white dress. She made that herself.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
