Oktoberfest, Family Style

This weekend Fort Sam held a carnival on base advertised as a family Oktoberfest.  We went and had a great time just walking distance from our hotel.
Funnel cake, Ferris wheels, yummy food, and games made for a great night.
This picture of our precious boy was so memorable, I think Jake captured it perfectly.
He loves his boots and lately must have his "soldier hat" because the sun he says, "burn my eyes."

  3. The family picture is so cute, and I'm loving your dress. When I showed Luke the picture of Malachi and his hair cut he was sad, he definitely looks a lot older. The last picture of Malachi in his hat and boots is adorable. William will be getting some boots for Christmas... too cute.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
