This training station will end and we will be jobless and homeless. Instead of stressed like I was a month ago. (stressed out of my mind) I am finding this situation laughable. How random is this? We are planners and hard working people. I can't really be upset. We were just dealt some funky circumstances and I'm excited to make the best of them. I worked on our budget like a mad woman on Friday and I think that helped my fears. Jake could work a minimum wage job and we'd survive just fine. Have I mentioned that we've had so many WONDERFUL offers to live with family? I feel so blessed. We are playing with so many options right now. One includes a phone interview Jake did on Friday to possibly teach in FL. That's our ideal at the moment. Actually working active duty for the guard in FL is our ideal but budgets there seem low. We'll see what the futures holds. I'm feeling good though, not stressed. I like it, contentment that is.
Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.
Life is full of surprises! Love your good attitude about it! Can't wait to see where you go next.
ReplyDeleteI'm sure some of the conference talks helped to ease your mind a little bit, right?! You do have such a good attitude! I think I would totally be freaking out! So why can't he still be in the army? Is he officially done after this thing he is doing? Way to go for pushing through semi single motherhood! Don't you get so tired of being the sole discipliner and referee? I know I sure do!
ReplyDeleteYou are SO positive, I love it! I'll keep you guys in my prayers! Things always seem to work out :) Maybe you'll end up in the great NW.... I know we would be HAPPY to have you nearby!!! Nevermind the rain lol.
ReplyDeleteI love your faith! I know you'll be blessed and look back and see how the Lord was guiding you all along. So is Jake done with law school?
