Poor Solomon Roy is always getting pummeled by his siblings.  They don't mean to knock him over, step on him, kick him as they try and step over him.  Man, this poor boy takes a lickin' and keeps on SMILIN'!

I finished my "feel great in eight" challenge on Monday.  I lost 20lbs in 8 weeks.  20lbs was my goal but I admit I was disappointed and wanted to lose more.  I seriously need to just be more grateful.  I'm working on it.  10lbs to pre-baby #4 weight.  Here's to drinking more water and counting those calories.

We leave for FL this Saturday, THIS Saturday.  We've decided to go and stay with my Mom and Brody so that Jake's closer to interviews and we can be all set-up for when it's time for him to start law school again.  It'll be cramped, but we're accustomed to that by now, right?

Thinking about packing up our hotel room is SCARY.  It's like moving all over again but only having the back of a mini-van to fit it all in.  I can see myself de-junking BIG TIME, but we all know I love to de-junk, seriously I do.

I am feeling overwhelmed tonight.  I'm all about change but I'm about secure change, not an uncertain future.  It should not be this hard to find work, seriously it's getting ridiculous.  I feel like our major road block is being over-qualified and under experienced, lovely.

Well back to trying to rent our last room in our Provo and job hunting.
Now if Jake's law school dean and the FL army national guard would call/email us back we'd be dealing with a little less stress.  Phone tag and unanswered emails are not fun.

As to not end on a sour note here are some fun/random pictures, enjoy!
I may or may not have been FORCING Mali Su and Malachi to sit next to one another.  Lately a certain 2nd daughter has an aversion to a certain 1st son.
 Goodnight y'all!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
