Austin Zoo with the Dustin Family

The tigers were SO CLOSE and they're HUGE!

 The turtles eating was ADORABLE.
I love the girls' hair.
 Let's feed the animals!
My animal lover was in heaven.

Thanks for riding patiently my boy.

This is Janet and her 3 children (Eve was at school).  They too have 2 girls then 2 boys.  We were in the same ward (church) in Provo, UT.  It was awesome to hang out and it just made me want to chat with her some more.  She's great and her and her family moved to Plugerville, TX.
"All aboard the choo choo train, all aboard, all aboard! choo choo!"
We got some sandwiches for lunch and headed home.
I enjoyed this quirky little animal rescue zoo.  Way to stay true Austin.
"keep Austin weird"
is their slogan and this zoo went right along with it but we loved it!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
