So this morning I realized that my kids just do not have enough opportunities to get dirty.
They already take MANY baths a day so why not actually let them have a chance to get dirty before they take yet another bath.
So we went outside, shovels and buckets in hand, and the kids had a BLAST.
We have this tiny dirt area where a tree used to be (I loved that tree) and they dug there.
Aimi Lark was of course properly dressed for the occasion,
Mali Su plopped right in the dirt instead of sitting on the grass to dig (I had her move back),
and Malachi finally left his comfy blanket
to join in on the fun and even took a few bites of dirt.
The girls eventually got bored of this tiny area of dirt and went exploring. They found a fun place behind some bushes that kept Mali Su entertained for quite some time.
I am so excited to announce that I think my garden will be alright. It looks good thus far, a few bent stems but overall it looks good.
My big tomato plant even has 5 flowers!
I am excited about this because I was told that is where the tomatoes come in!
I'm excited to see what happens with our garden.
I think the CORN that is planted in the back just might be starting to sprout as well.

Looking at those sunshiny pictures, it's hard to believe that yesterday was snow!! Glad it didn't last. Enjoy the great outdoors!!

ReplyDeleteI agree with Monica one of the funniest things about this post is that just the day before there was SNOW EVERYWHERE!! And by the way, I totally saw where you live and you are about a second away!1 I am getting the stroller out of the car soon and walking to your house one of these days. It is absolutely RIDICULOUS that I have not come to your house
