Malachi and Pa Pa Tim

My dad is a great Pa Pa.
He is OVERly protective of the kids when we visit or he comes here and sometimes makes me laugh how protective he is.
The kids love him.
Malachi loved playing on his bed with him every night while we were in TX.  Malachi thought he was on a big trampoline.  He would climb, roll around, and laugh hysterically.
When my dad cleaned his truck Malachi hung out in the walker.
Malachi found love for footballs and baseballs while there.  Pa Pa spent lots of time playing catch with Malachi.
Malachi even got to ride in the jeep with the top off one evening.
Pa Pa made sure and combed Malachi's hair before we went to dinner.
Playing dress-up with a paintball mask was also a fun activity.
Pa Pa carried Malachi a lot and it made for a pretty achy shoulder for my Dad.
Thanks Dad for all your help and for being so hands on with your grand-babies.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
