Thoughts from my trip to TX

(posting on 2/6/19 from my "drafts" folder on my blog to play catch up)

Thoughts from my trip to TX

I forgot just how much humidity was down there!  I chose not to fight it and just went curly with my hair everyday, so much easier that way.

I forgot how much SODA and TEA us southerners drink!  Being in UT those two things are pretty much non-existent.

I felt useless for most of my trip.  It was the weirdest time for me.  I didn't really have much I could do  but lots I wanted to do (like see more friends and family).

After the wedding I wondered why I was still in TX and not in UT but then I remembered my tickets were cheaper if I didn't fly out on Sunday.

Mali Su is into this whole "pointing" thing and not using her words.  This just might be the death of me.  I try not to get frustrated when she "points" versus talks but sometimes it is HARD.

Aimi Lark confuses her "who" and "what" in sentences.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
