Beau's Baptism

He is 16 years old.
He is a great example to his family and friends.
Beau we are so proud of you.
 The girls were so excited.
When we told Aimi Lark that morning that Uncle Beau was being baptized she said,
"Yeah, because he's 8."
In our church those 8 years old and older can choose to be baptized.

Jake performed the ordinance
 with Nate (Jake's brother)
and Seth (Jake's brother in law) serving as witnesses of the baptism.
We felt so much love and support from all those in attendance.
My relief society president Sis. Miner and her husband,
our family friend Aunt Carol,
 Jake's cousins the Turners,
 our neighbors the Ostlers
and Moores, and two families Beau helps home teach, the Dahls
 and Susan Willey.
Jake's family friends the Heaths were also able to make it to the baptism.  It was so wonderful to see them.
We also were able to meet Beau's seminary teacher,
his high school friends,
and once again see his Sunday School teachers from our ward.
I am so grateful for my mom and her support she gives to each of her children in the good choices they make in their lives.
Beau has been through quite a few missionary sets.  I think he might have visited with 6 Elders so far.  Here are his two most recent Elders
and also a previous missionary who has completed his mission and is now at school in Idaho, he came in for the occasion.
During the entire baptismal service we had some cute little girls who brought smiles to our faces.  It took some coaxing for a picture but I just wanted to document and remember how cute they are and how excited they were to sit in front of the font and watch Beau be baptized.
 Kenny
and Luke were so kind to give the talks on Baptism and the Holy Ghost.  I was so impressed by the words they shared.

Thank you to all those who sent their love, support, and a big big thank-you to those who were able to come.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
