FRIDAY!!!

Jake graduates 2 weeks from TODAY!
Today was quite the productive day. We left my mom's this morning and headed to Vidor. On the way I got a call from our tile guy that our tile was in and they could start today. I could not have been more excited! Tile in our new house and transferring the title of the Vidor house into our name was my goal during my 5 weeks in TX. Seeing as I only have 2 weeks til I leave and these two things are not accomplished I have been quite stressed about them. The tile guy came out and started taking out the old flooring

and while he did so I thought about how much I wished Jake was there because he only spoke espanol. I did call Jake's brother Kurt to ask the worker if he wanted lunch and earlier in the day told him "agua en concina." I am so glad my high school Spanish is coming in handy.

The girls, my brother Brody and I went to lunch with my dad and granddad.

We also went by the post office to see why I have YET to receive things in the mail (and some things have been returned to sender). I hope to get a letter from Jake at some point.
OH! and today at lunch a lady told me Malachi looked too big to be a 2 month old...I agree!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
