Love/Hate Relationship

I'm realizing I have a love/hate relationship with being on vacation.

I LOVE seeing my family.
I HATE that change causes my kids to go coo-coo.
I LOVE my children experiencing so many new things.
I HATE not being able to go home to my house at the end of the day.

I am still glad I chose to come to TX for this month even though at times throughout the day I think I'm losing my mind. I just have to remind myself I have those moments even at home in Utah.

The kids are loving it here. They love spending time with my family, especially Mia. My mom is so hands on with them and can get Malachi to fall asleep at the drop of a hat. I am grateful too for my brothers and the fact that whenever I ask them to do anything they do it without hesitation (and we know I need the help).

We have so many activities planned and I cannot wait to do them. I am including some pictures of the day we played at my cousin Coty's house in Houston (after dropping Jake off at the airport) with her little boy Jackson.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
