I LOVE clean floors...

Jake has always done the mopping in our home since we have been married. I am really grossed out by mops so I have always done it by hand and so Jake does the same. The girls have begun helping out and it is adorable to see.Mali Su's version of helping...(Don't worry Mali Su is eating a non-toxic wipe)

  1. I love it! I was like this for years also- mopping the floors by hand with a cloth. As I have gotten older, it hurts my knees too much to do it by hand, and so I have tried a variety of mops and like the one from Bed, Bath, and Beyond the best!

  2. Interesting cleaning method. Seems a bit time-consuming, and might hurt your knees....but whatever. I clean floors probably every other day, so I'm totally with you on that obsession. I actually just mopped today...imagine that! And I used a real mop! Lol, I'm just messing with you. I'm was happy about the non-toxic wipe, I was afraid Mali Su was being poisoned and you decided to do nothing about it except grab the camera...whew!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
