Yesterday

for me, was a very long day. The girls got up extra early and that made a big difference. It was 7am and we had been up for 2hrs and I was cold and tired I decided to bake since I couldn't go back to bed. I figured the oven would warm me up and baking would wake me up. I made two loaves of banana bread, some chocolate chip cookies (they both turned out great) and put some black eyed peas in the crock pot. Yesterday I also made my first sales on "craig's list." If you don't know what this is it is a website where you can post things you don't want anymore and then people will contact you to come to your house and buy them. I sold two baby things and two small appliances I didn't want or need. I was convinced to do this by my friend Marlyse. I am the QUEEN of giving things to DI so it was nice to make a little money off things I didn't want anyway and save myself from loading it up and driving it to DI. Yesterday the girls enjoyed a few activities. Mali Su loves to ride on the wiggle car but didn't really know how to ride with Aimi Lark. When Aimi Lark would try to ride with her Mali Su would throw her head back in a major fit. Yesterday morning Mali Su discovered how to hold onto Aimi Lark and now has a great time by herself or with Aimi Lark driving. Look at little Mali Su's hand holding on to Aimi Lark's shirt.Even though yesterday was really long it was filled with family and fun. (I am trying to see the positive in my really long day...) The girls played, I baked, family(luke, kaylene, and kayla) came over for dinner and OFFICE, what more can you ask for?
(maybe to sleep in for once?)

  1. I am dreaming about when my youngest unborn child is a teenager. Maybe I'll get to sleep in then.

  2. HA! They are trying to prepare you for when the baby is born.

(Don't you hate when people say that?)

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
