11 Months Old

While in Texas our little Mali Su turned 11 months old! She has hit some fun milestones that I'd like to share.
~she loves to make spit noises with her mouth and will mimic you if you do them to her
~she loves to clap
~she does the "indian" thing where she pats her mouth while saying "ahh"~she is crawling even more now
~she can now pull up on things
~she is starting to slowly move along furniture
~she says "du du du" usually around the kitty
~she has an ear infection right now~her hair has grown out more on the sides and has begun to curl up
~she has popped three new teeth this month
(her two top molars and one more on the bottom front)
~she has finally discovered the excitement of daddy coming home. When daddy comes home she will crawl quickly to him so he can pick her up
~she is very needy lately and wants her mommy often
~she is still our sweet and content little girl and we love her!

  2. I feel like she has grown up (and is it possible that she has even more rolls?!!!) since I saw her last! And look at that hair! I swear it has doubled!!!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
