Fun in Georgia with the Shillig 1 and Kunkel Family

Uncle Trevor (Aunt Audrey's husband) taught everyone the game "fat dog" that is basically lay on the floor and don't move or talk just like an old fat dog.  It was a hit!
 Uncle Aaron had bedtime down!
Their cat FiFi is old and frail but so sweet to everyone and I'm not even a cat person.
Aunt Mandi has a beautiful yard and garden.
My Mom had sent the kids stuff to play with so I surprised them with it while we were there.

Meal time was fun with so many kids and adults, it works out well they have two areas to eat!
I found this photo on my phone and felt it described our time there perfectly!

They have wild blackberries and we had fun picking and Malachi had fun eating.
Aunt Mandi sweetly brought me home a treat, HIPPOS!

We also watched Chile play in the World Cup and Mali Su got VERY into the game.
We loved our time with our family in Georgia!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
