Phone Life

I had a sleepover after the Jason Aldean concert because I was doing the hair the next morning at my friend Katie's house.  Needless to say, we had fun chatting til the break of dawn, literally.

Sometimes me and this boy like to cuddle, and take pictures at night in his bed.
Solomon is obsessed with wearing goggles when we go out to the pool.  He brings me pair, after pair, after pair.  He hands them to me, makes some kind of noise indicating I put them on his head, then runs away yelling, "BAAAAA!"  (read: cannonball)
Daddy talking to Aimi Lark the night before school after her blessing.  She's such a sweet girl!
I have made these little folders to hold the important stuff from each school year and I am putting a picture on the front, I'm thinking the beginning of each year.  It'll be fun to see the change.  Preschool grad pic was too cute, preschool was only 2 months long, and I started the folders just last week so I used that one.
I was quite sick last week, I slept a lot.
My garden still makes me SUPER HAPPY.  I am pulling my peppers soon and planting something new I think.  I have small beds so I do some trading throughout the growing season, which in Florida is quite long.
Look at Aimi Lark's cute school box, THANKS Katie.
Waiting to pick Aimi Lark up today.  I was quite excited to hear about her day.  I even brought the video camera to interview her about it.
When we went to see Beau in VA the guys played horseshoes.
On the drive home from VA Jake sat in back and played with the kids, he's awesome like that.
The boys collage wall just keeps getting better and better.  I love the new addition of Solomon's newborn picture in Jake's uniform.  I got it for $40 with a coupon online, it was normally priced $120.  I just need to add Malachi in Jake's uniform when he was new new to the wall.
Here's our guest room in progress.  It sleeps plenty so y'all come visit!  I made the little states with all the places we've lived in our marriage.  10 addresses in 5 states in 8.5 years.
Part of being the baby in the family, getting locked in the dog's cage.  He was playing happily til I walked in and took a picture, he then pitched a sweet fit.
CONCERT TIME!  I'm moving my part to the middle and it feels like it's 2002 again for me hair-wise, but I have been rocking the side bangs for so long now I'm going for a change, I like it.
Before Brody moved we took him to EPCOT because he had never been.  We needed to convince him that it wasn't LAME like he had heard from all his friends.
 Soda from around the world.
Italy's soda is YUCKY!  We paid Brody to drink lots of it.
Jake had to show him Captain EO, his childhood favorite.
 Brody is a great Uncle.
Yes, this is how we roll.
 We love CHINA at EPCOT.
So long my dear Brody, we miss you!
See, told you this boy loves him some goggles.
I think that picture overload will do for now.
ENJOY!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
