My Son

I love this little boy, I know I say that all the time.
The other day while moving Aunt Larkie took all my kids AND hers back home with her in my vehicle.  It was just too chaotic trying to move and pack and clean and save the world with 5 little ones running up and down the stairs and in and out of Miss Lisa's and Miss Alana's houses.  When I went to Larkie's to get the kids they were all BATHED and perfectly happy.  Thank-you Aunt Larkie for your help and another shout-out to Uncle Seth for staying the ENTIRE day!
Look how cute Malachi looked when I picked him up!!  Larkie did the "chicken" hair-do as my mom calls it.
And dressed him in a cute sailor suit!
My mom did that hair-do on all of us in my family.

Well today my poor little man puked up his lunch.  I guess drinking some of Daddy's chocolate shake and Mommy's coke didn't mix too well in his tiny tummy.  Sorry Son.

  2. So I think the "chicken" hair do has got to be a southern thing because my momma and my memaw did that too all my babies TOO!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
