Deep down I think I truly enjoy BUSY days. They make me feel like I am truly taking advantage of my days and all that life has to offer. Now in the moment when I'm stressed or afterward when I'm exhausted I might start to think otherwise but I think if I'm honest with myself, I enjoy BUSY days.
Today was busy and wonderful.
We started out our day by heading up to Layton, UT for Jake's brother Nate's baby boy Braxton's blessing. We left WAY too early and since we were over an hour or so from home with time to kill and my mom had not had her morning coffee she wanted to buy us breakfast while she got her coffee. We obliged and enjoyed donuts yet again.
Sacrament meeting with family was so wonderful, busy to say the least, but WONDERFUL! It was so fun to see all the cousins interact. Some moments included Braxton getting a bit fussy and Mali Su telling me to tell Aunt Ashley and Uncle Nate that "he needs some water."
Aimi Lark loudly proclaims after she and Madilyn partake of the bread part of the Sacrament, "Madilyn, this is just a snack." I guess we will just keep whispering in their ears like we always do, "to think of Jesus" during the passing and partaking of the sacrament.
Braxton looked adorable in his little white argyle vested suit. Nate did a wonderful job on the blessing in between the little newborn cries of baby Braxton Randy Shillig.
After the blessing we headed down to Springville where we had the opportunity to attend a Steak Dinner put on by the Damascus Lodge of the Free and Accepted Masons of Utah to honor all of our active duty and veterans who serve our country. It was a wonderful gathering of Veterans and their families.
We didn't realize it was outdoors so we were a bit overdressed but enjoyed ourselves none the less.
The kids LOVED this water fountain they had there.
Jake said that if two monkeys were in the dessert and discovered an Oasis that it would be no different than Mali Su and Malachi playing in this water fountain.
They LOVED it.
They laughed, giggled, and drank away at the low flow (and I'm sure poor tasting) water fountain.
Malachi at one point got a bloody lip climbing up trying to get to the fountain when we had taken him away from it.
I let my kids have all the food and drinks they wanted (remember that's how I roll at these type of things). The kids LOVED drinking as much Sprite as they could get their little sticky hands on.
The boys were in their own little country Heaven. They took off their ties, rolled up their pants, and waded in the creek that coldly and quickly flowed nearby.
We had such a great time. The boys were so helpful and cleaned up
while Jake and I loaded and baby wipe bathed the kids in the van (we have a VAN).
We headed out from the canyon and the sky looked so blue and so perfect against the green of the mountain sides. Utah is gorgeous in May and I am finally appreciating the views here.

Alright, you look AMAZING!!! Care to pass on any secrets? You look beautiful :)
