More Grammie Lark and family time

Sunday we had stake conference at church and then Shillig Sunday dinner over here. I had a great nap in between and some pampering from Jake...it was AMAZING and I am loving being so well taken care of by my mother in law and Jake.

Monday (today) I got up and took Jake to work so we could have the car. The girls have been sleeping in til 7:30AM or later so it makes for nice mornings. After we got the girls ready we hung out at Larkie's for a bit, picked up a few needed things in town, and then headed to the park (where playgroup was even though I didn't remember that til we were on our way there!) At the park Grammie pushed the girls in the swings and for the FIRST time Mali Su laughed/loved the swings and didn't just sit there flopping like a rag doll. Gotta love a Grandma's touch. After the park we hit up Wal-Mart and then lunch for us and Jake. I came home and napped while the girls did and tried not to die from the heat. It was 93 degrees today at the highest. I picked up Jake from school and we changed out the filter on our AC unit and turned that baby ON! It is now a nice temperature in our house and I'm excited to sleep comfortably tonight. I got my hair colored and trimmed and my eyebrows waxed this evening and even though they got color all over the back of my shirt I left in good spirits and feeling great. I have an OB appointment in the AM and I'm excited because it has become difficult to go to the bathroom and I can only think it is because his big head has gotten even lower and is compressing things down there. But all and all I actually feel GREAT! I am enjoying time with my mother in law, Jake and my girls. OH! and today I got an amazing HUGE/thin handmade swaddle blanket in the mail from Jake's mission buddy and his wife (Huntzingers) that had his NAME on it! I love personalized things! I love "real" mail, it just brightens my day so thanks Lesli!

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
