I'm gonna miss days like this...

This morning after we dropped Jake off at work Aimi Lark kept asking for "Larkie, Seth, Jordan" over and over again so I called Larkie to see if we could hang out (for the third day in a row) until my playgroup started at 1030AM. She said "SURE!" (because she is awesome like that) and told me they were going "hot-tubbing" at Ashley's. So we loaded up Larkie and Jordan with us and headed out. The girls were snacking in the back seat when out of no where Jordan starts throwing-up. I pull over and Larkie starts wiping her up. We end up just driving to Ashley's because there isn't much we can do on the side of the interstate. We get our little girls ready for some hot-tub FUN and head out. Mali Su and Jordan kept getting out of the hot-tub for snacks. Ashley and Larkie were awesome with my girls and I am so grateful! I love that my girls were able to enjoy time in the hot tub with their aunts and cousins even though I couldn't get in. I love having family close by and even more so having family that are so good to my girls! After our swim we headed back to the house. Aimi Lark and Madilyn were adorable walking back to the house in their hooded towels and holding hands. We bathed the girls and got them dressed for the park. We grabbed some McDonald's for lunch and then over to the park. It was surprisingly chilly and windy but the kids still had a great time. Madilyn started a fun game of "chase the duck" and Aimi Lark and Jordan happily joined in. They ended up cornering the duck under a tree before the duck finally went for a swim in the pond. We are home now and the girls are NAPPING! YAY for NAPS! I think I'll go nap too.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
