Day 2

of my mother-in-law being in town was a success. We took all the kiddos to Farm Country and had a grand ol' time.
The girls all enjoyed seeing/petting the animals and a pony ride.

After Farm country we came home for naps (much needed because Aimi Lark had the worst melt-down ever that brought me to tears) after eating some of Grammie's famous Swedish pancakes. Now I just need to figure out what we will do tomorrow...

I know you are all wondering how the castor oil turned out. Well no baby but I do feel much better with clean insides. I am happy to say that I did not get sick from the castor oil in the least. I do have an OB appointment in the morning and I am looking forward to that.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
