Baby Malachi Preparations

Well I've realized I'm not a big preparer when it comes to having my babies. I don't pack a bag for the hospital or buy many things...I am more of the "buy as you need" type. Now I have managed to acquire a few things that I LOVE for when Malachi gets here.

#1: I ordered the cutest custom bibs that both my girls have but this time I got to pick out "manly" bibs#2: My mom bought Malachi's blessing suit for church. I got it in the mail today and we LOVE IT! bow tie and all!!!#3: Tonight I went to a "Women's Expo" with Ashley and Larkie and while there I picked up the cutest matching ties for Jake and Malachi. When I showed them to Jake he got so excited! We are a very "matchy" family if you haven't already noticed.My wonderful friends and family covered me with some great clothing items at my baby shower so I think he will be good in that department til we get to TX in July where I know my mom will have us more than covered. I am so EXCITED for Malachi to arrive. I am even more excited for my mother-in-law to get here on Tuesday. I look forward to lots of stair climbing and walking up hills once she arrives... bring on LABOR because I am honestly good and ready.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
