Sharing Mali Su

My dear sweet Mali Su. I love her so very very much and I don't think I can say that enough. She is such a happy baby and I feel so blessed that both my girls have been naturally "happy" babies.

~Mali Su is 14.5 weeks old. She has beautiful blue eyes and such a bubbly personality. She smiles whenever people speak to her and I love that!

~Now whenever we prop her sitting up she does not fall forward and have her "unauthorized tummy time" she instead arches her back and it causes her to slump further and further down until she is practically lying flat on her back.
~Every morning for awhile now when she is sitting up in her little corner of the couch she has an EXPLOSION! This morning it went up the front (again) and somehow out the sides and on the couch. I am just glad her bowels are working :)
~She is still not a fan of tummy time but she humors me and does it on a daily basis.
~She is still sleeping through the night and once again I feel blessed that both my girls are great sleepers! She is now sleeping more on her side than her back. I just hope she does not end up on her tummy again.
~Mali Su absolutely LOVES to suck on her hands. She is really good about grabbing a hold of the ring on her pacifier and pulling it out of her mouth and then sucking on her hands. Yesterday her one hand had a huge hickey on the area between her thumb and first finger.

  2. Super cute pictures! That's funny that she sleeps on her side. I thought babies like either the back or the belly.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
