Running around like a chicken with my head cut off!

Ok so today is a day to beat all days... BUSY! is what I am...
I have not stopped since getting up this morning. I am one to stay home and tend to my home and children and not one to "run the roads" as my mom would say. Today I had no choice. The long weekend caused EVERYTHING to fall on TODAY. "Terrible Tuesday" is what I would like to call it.

1. Physical Therapy for Mali Su. This went well and she is such a trooper! But what didn't go well was the fact that I found out today that my insurance (good insurance is why Jake works full time and goes to school full time) does NOT cover the HELMET Mali Su will need if the stretching/repositioning does not work. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!?

2. I then went to the post office (Luke I mailed your book to Taiwan today) got gas, and went to the grocery store. Dropped salad off at a ward member's house who had surgery. Picked up Jake from school and then took him to the dentist (I am going tomorrow instead of today) We picked him up from the dentist and got our free "military memorial day" carwash. I am now home and Jake headed off to school for a LONG NIGHT... Jake leaving caused Aimi Lark to get very very upset...

  1. wow, definately crazy day! i totally agree with the heathcare thing about foodstamps etc. it just doesn't seem like it's a very fair system. anyway, we are going to hong kong in july. i agree though, i think that passports are a good idea to have just in case.

  2. Wow, long day! We visited my sister when we came in August. She moved here last June so it was so Kenny could see the Northwest b/c he had never been up before.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
