Mali Su's Day at the Doctor



Today Mali Su went in for her 3 month well baby appointment. She received three shots today. She did so well! Jake was so sweet and able comfort her by singing and swaying with her while I took care of the necessary paperwork for her physical therapy.

The doctor requested physical therapy for her Torticollis, or wry neck, a condition in which the head is tilted toward one side, and the chin is elevated and turned toward the opposite side. She since birth has preferred to turn her head to the left and because of this her head is flatter on one side. We have been doing stretches and propping her head to the right to try and counteract this. Wish us luck with physical therapy :)

Mali Su's 3 month stats are:

Height: 24.5 inches/90%ile
Weight: 15lbs 3oz/95%ile
Head: 41cm/75%ile

    YEAH! I'm glad the shots went well and it worked out. And yeah for the PT. Hopefully that takes care of it!

    She's a cute chunky monkey. Have you guys taken Mali Su to a chiropractor or DO/OD whichever it is? Maybe that will be part of the PT. Love you guys.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
