"hi" and prayers

Aimi Lark gets quite excited when I pull out the camera or video camera. She gets all smiley, says "HI!" over and over as she gets closer and closer to the lens...


But the point of this post is that I wanted to share how cute she is. Lately she has become very good about saying her prayers and by that I mean she wants to say them ALL THE TIME! It is so adorable! She will come up to me and fold her arms and I will then proceed to fold mine and bow my head and close my eyes and say a short prayer. During the prayer I peak and see that she too has her eyes closed and her head bowed. I LOVE IT! such a sweetheart! I wish I could sneak a picture but today when I tried she of course did the above instead of pray :) my dear sweet photogenic child will not let me capture "candid" moments because she is excited to say "hi" and smile for the camera.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

 We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
