We walked on the long pier near the AIDS Memorial. I knew very little about AIDS til I recently watched a documentary on Netflix about how hard it hit San Francisco and it broke my heart. I cannot imagine losing almost everyone around you like most of those men did in those days. I know it's controversial to talk about usually because of the nature of the disease but it was still sad for me to learn more about it.
We had the kids in bed already when my Mom said it was too early for bed and we hopped up, threw on suits, and headed to let the kids swim.
Brody is a kid at heart, love that boy.
Mali Su always has to be first, if not, she gets a little pouty.
Brody loves to torture and pick on the boys, here they "fought."
We left the pier and got in the water. This beach was way choppier than normal so we had the kids stay close.
Solomon sometimes puts his hands on his hips like this and it cracks me up. It's like he's a little old man.
These two have a relationship different than the rest of us. Sometimes it feels like Brody is an only child.
This boy would not leave me alone. He crawled all over me, wanted to be held, and played with my face.
Notice in that picture of him on my lap I do NOT look amused. I love him, but man, I just wanted him to go play in the water.
Then we left and the kids fell fast asleep.
Good idea Mia!
