I keep thinking about running away and joining the circus...

I think my Mom used to say something like that when we would yell for her and ask "where are you?"  she would respond with something like "she ran away and joined the circus."  I respond with this to my kids sometimes when they ask where Daddy is or where something is or where one of their siblings are.

I feel tired, oh so very very tired.
I keep getting knocked down (and yes the chumbawumba song just popped in my head).

I chipped my back tooth.  It has needed a crown for years instead of the filling.  I guess I get to pay for that damage now.

Solomon has painted one too many walls over the last week with "mud" from his diaper. I now realize I need to potty train Solomon ASAP.  In my head I was going to do it after summer trips/vacations.

I woke up with my neck kinked again.  It hurts to even more my arm or head certain ways.

Mali Su has had an upset tummy.  It kept us home from church today.  5 kids inside all day made for wound up children who did lots of crying.

My emotions have been on a roller coaster thinking about my entire Sellers family and what they are going through.  My cousin Sarah posted this on Facebook "Miracles happen everyday but we thought we'd seen the last. He was revived four times over the past two days and we were called in to say our goodbyes. Today my dad has taken a turn for the best! His doctor is now thinking a pacemaker and medication could be an option. We are grateful for your prayers and support! "

We have to move from our home in less than 60 days.  Our landlord has decided to no longer use this property as a long term rental.  I have been antsy to de-junk and get ready for the next phase of our life, but this is one way to do that!  Jake graduates a year from August so I'm getting a big head start!  I'm going to be selling as much as I can.  I'm not sure where the next chapter of our lives will take us but I know I don't want to haul everything there.

I found the biggest weevil infestation ever in the boys' closet today.  This is where I keep all my food storage.  I have had food storage for just about my entire 9+ years of marriage and this is my first run in with them.  I didn't just run into them, they are OVERRUNNING that closet, it's embarrassing, gross, and overwhelming. This is when I wish I could hire help, help that I wouldn't feel like was judging me.

I keep planning out a garage sale in my mind.  I have two weekends I can do it before my in-laws get here.  I'm hoping I can be de-junked before they get here and then they can help me pack some. My mother-in-law organized all the kids' clothes when she was here last time so I figure this will just be another "fun" project for her.

Like that Chumbawumba song says, I will get up again, tomorrow.

Mali Su has her first day of preschool tomorrow, I should get to bed because even though this stuff is all very exhausting I'm still A-OK.

Night y'all.

20 Weeks

Today we had the opportunity to go in for our 20 week ultrasound. We are excited to announce that baby #3 is a healthy BOY! We are excited but have to admit we are a bit nervous. Change is hard and after two girls this is definitely a change. It will be a fun and wonderful experience. I have already thought about little boy ACUs and PT clothes (little army clothes) and what I will decorate the "boy" room in etc. I have always heard boys are "easier" but more rambunctious so I guess we will just have to see. I was excited that during the ultrasound our little boy was crossing his legs at the ankle like both his sisters do! So funny! We will keep y'all posted on names and other developments.

Halloween 2023

We pulled off our best Halloween!  Possibly ever!  Jake had a vision and it came true beautifully.  He even had the cutest song he sang.  I loved our last Halloween in our Hurst home.

sometimes life may get you down

but then you remember how wonderful you husband is and it makes it all ok. Jake surprised me by ordering these gorgeous handmade pearl earrings from TINY STORM for me for Christmas and they were waiting for us with all our mail when we arrived back home after vacation. He got down on one knee and presented me with these earrings and it brought tears to my eyes. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful, hardworking, and loving husband who is always there to take care of me and love me when I am having a rough time. Thank you Jacob!
