I took way too many pictures but we were there for just about 4 hours and could have stayed longer. It was well worth our time and money. I am so excited that thanks to a coupon we have passes for a year!
Laying on a bed of nails, "CAUTION Don't freak out!" but when I read that Malachi did a tiny bit and got off.
I let the kids get these wax dinosaurs. I remember seeing those machines at the zoo or other places on school field trips and wanting one and not getting it so when the kids asked I said, "SURE!"
I also had just made them take a photo booth picture strip with me (I always want to do that but Jake never does so I made my kids) and since I got a souvenir I figured they could have one too.
Waiting on the wax to cool was exciting!
They had a wheelchair racing area and seeing Malachi in it brought my hear to a stop, it made me think if he really was in a wheelchair, if that was his trial in life.
On "the moon" they had these screens like huge iPads and it made me think of some Tom Cruise movie where I first saw something like this.
Solomon always leans WAY over when told to smile or look for a picture. That boy cracks me up.
Mali Su asked if she could wear "rainbow" shoes today and I said she could, they're the same shoes but different colors. She's so stylish.
They had an area with all kinds of natural disasters that you could experience. We had fun in the wind tunnel. I think I had a little too much fun and Mali Su had more civilized proper fun in the wind tunnel.
They had a bike on a tight rope and I was the only one tall enough to ride it. Thankfully Solomon had gone into some kind of calm state in the stroller. Awake but just sitting there so I thought I'd try to ride it and hopefully the kids would be good on the sidelines. Thankfully they were perfect and Mali Su even took some pictures for us.
They had a hospital/the body style exhibit.
There were plenty of play and imagination areas too.
This part of the exhibit was tucked away but since we were exploring every nook and cranny we found it. I read this sign over and over to make sure my eyes were not deceiving me. I began to cry to myself. These tiny babies did not come to their families as my babies did, as I looked at these sweet babies at the museum with me and these babies at different stages of gestation in jars on display. My heart was broken and I was filled with gratitude with my healthy children.
We had a great day at the museum and since it's in the direction of work for Jake and school for Aimi Lark it is perfect. I can't wait to go again!
